Biography
Danijela Martinović was born in Split. At a young age, she joined the band Stijene. But her real breakthrough came in 1991 when she became the singer of Magazin. The band already excisted a long time and Danijela was the 4th lead singer. The band represented Croatia in th 1995 Eurovision Song Contest, joined by opera singer Lidija Horvat. Danijela left the band in 1996. As a solo singer, she also represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998 and took part in the 2005 and 2006 national selection. She participated in ‘Dancing with the stars’. She released 8 albums, the last of which came out in 2011. She also released several compilation albums.
