Biography
Damir Kedžo is a Croatian singer, born in Omišalj. When he was 16, Damir took part in a talent show called Story Supernova Super Talents, a Croatian version of Idol. In 2004, he joined the boyband Saša, Tin i Kedžo, with two other participants of Story Supernova. They released an album and took part in DORA 2005, the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. Later in 2005, they split up.
As a solo singer, Damir took part in the song contest Melodije Istre i Kvarnera. In 2008 he released an album called Damir Kedžo”. In and around 2010 he played roles in the musicals “Joseph and his technicolor dreamcoat” and “Crna kuća”. He won the song contest Slavianski Bazaar. In 2011, he took part in DORA again, now as a solo singer. One year later, he returned to Melodije Istre i Kvarnera and won the prize of the jury. In 2015, he won the New Wave Festival in Russia.
Damir’s breakthrough in the charts came in 2017, when his duet with Zsa Zsa, “Sve u meni se budi”, reached the #1 spot in the Croatian charts. He reached the top-10 many other times and won ZagrebFest in 2019. In the same year, he had two other #1 hits: “Vidi se izdaleka” and “Poljubi me sad”. In 2020 he was chosen to represent Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Divlji vjetre”. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, due to the cancellation of the contest.
In July 2020, Damir released his second album, “Poljubi me sad”, which reached the #1 spot in the Croatian charts. The song “Nedodirljiva” became a huge hit, followed by a song that was not on the album: “Sjeti se”.
