Biography
Constantinos Christoforou is a Cypriot singer, songwriter, and composer known for his contributions to the Greek and Cypriot music scene. He was born on April 25, 1977, in Limassol, Cyprus. His career spans several decades, during which he has participated in various musical projects, including solo work and collaborations with other artists.
Christoforou developed an interest in music from a young age. He learned to play multiple instruments, including the guitar and piano, which later played a role in his compositions. His first steps into the professional music industry came in his teenage years when he started performing at local events and gaining recognition for his vocal abilities.
In 1994, he released his debut single Tora Pou Milas in Cyprus, which gained him local attention. The success of this song encouraged him to pursue a career in music professionally.
Christoforou’s first major international appearance was in 1996 when he represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Mono Yia Mas, finishing ninth. In 1999, he became the lead singer of the boy band One, formed in Greece. The band was signed to Minos EMI and gained popularity in Cyprus and Greece with their debut album, ONE, released the same year.
Christoforou returned to Eurovision in 2002 as a member of One with the song Gimme, which reached the top ten in the final. After this, he left the group to focus on his solo career.
After leaving One in 2002, Christoforou focused on his solo career, releasing several albums that explored different musical styles, including contemporary Greek music, pop, and laïko. In 2003, he released the album I Agapi Sou Paei which included the popular single Giati.
Two years later, he participated in Eurovision again as a solo artist with Ela Ela (Come Baby). The same year, he released the album Ela Ela – The Album which included the Eurovision entry along with other tracks such as Thes Na Kanoume Schesi.
 In 2006, he released the album Idiotropia, featuring songs such as Pos Na Sou Po and Mou Leipeis.
In 2010, he competed in the Cypriot national final for Eurovision with the song Angel, though he did not win the ticket to the contest.
Christoforou participated in the Greek national final for Eurovision in 2025, marking another attempt to represent a country in the competition.
Over the years, he collaborated with notable Greek and Cypriot musicians, both as a performer and songwriter. Some of his songs have been recorded by other artists. His work in the music industry has included live performances, television appearances, and the release of new music in various formats.
In 2017, Christoforou reunited with One for select performances and released new music with the group. In 2020, they released the song Billy Bam Bam, which received airplay in Greece and Cyprus.
In later years, Christoforou has continued to release music and perform in live concerts, both as a solo artist and with One. In 2023, he released the song Sta Vathia as part of his ongoing solo career. His presence in the Greek and Cypriot music scene remains active, with continued songwriting and occasional releases.
