Biography
Claes-Göran Hederström was a Swedish singer, born in Danderyd, Stockholm. He was discovered in 1967 by Mats Olsson and made his tv-debut in a show called Minishow. He performed together with Mona Wessman and Nina Lizell. One year later he represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Det börjar verka kärlek, banne mej”. The song topped the Swedish charts after the contest. In the summer and autumn of 1968 he toured through Sweden with Mona Wessman, Lene Broberg and the Hipp Happy Band. He had a hit with “Flickan i fönstret mitt emot”, a duet with Nina Lizell. In 1972, he had another hit, now solo, called “Här ute på landet”. In 1973, he took part in Melodifestivalen again, but his song “Historien om en vän” did not win.
Claes-Göran Hederström passed away in Norrköping in 2022.
