Biography

Circus Mircus is a progressive rock band from Georgia. The band mainly plays experimental music, which is made up of different music styles.

At the end of 2020 Damocles Stavriadis, Igor von Lichtenstein, Bavonc Gevorkyan, Iago Waitman (probably not their real names) formed the group Circus Mircus in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. The men attended the Circus Academy, but had dropped out of the academy. “We weren’t good enough, probably the worst in the crew, that’s why we became friends,” explains one of the band members.

Circus Mircus proved to be very productive. They made seven videos in less than a year. On November 14, 2021, an eighth video appeared on their Youtube channel: in it they announced that they would be the Georgian candidates for the Eurovision Song Contest.

For Eurovision, the group came up with the song “Lock me in”. The song did not make it to the final.
