Biography
CatCat is a Finnish duo. Katja (1972) and Virpi (1969) Kätkä are sisters. They released their first album “CatCat” in 1992. Two years later, they won the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Bye bye baby”. The song was one of the favourites to do well in the competition, but ended up in 22nd place. The duo became a trio for a while after Eurovision, when their sister Anneli joined them. However, when in 1995 their new album was released, Anneli had left the group. After this CD, the two decided to split up.
CatCat made a comeback in 2000 with a new album. They kept on working together and still perform as a duo. They released a total of 10 albums, the last one being “CatCat 25 vuotta”, for their jubilee.
