Biography

Carole Vinci was born in 1950 in Geneva. She followed a study to be a sports teacher. However, when she got the opportunity to sing, she took it with both hands. In 1977, she got the chance to participate in the Swiss national final for the Eurovision Song Contest with a song called “Dites-moi ce qu’est l’amour”. She only reached the 4th place. 1978 was her lucky year, as she took part in the national Eurovision selection again, and won this time with the song “Vivre”. She got the opportunity to represent Switzerland with the song and reached a 9th place. Carole Vinci did not make a singing career after the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1980, she performed on a show on Swiss tv. However, she did not record anything apart from “Vivre”. Nowadays, she has a cheese dairy in Switzerland.
