Biography
Braulio is a Spanish singer and songwriter, born at the Canary Islands. He won a local festival in 1971 with the song “Mi amigo el pastor”. His career really began two years later, when he took part at the Benidorm International Song Festival, as he did again in 1975 and in 1981. Braulio represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1976 with the song “Sobran las palabras”.
in 1979, he won the festival Viña Del Mar in Chile with the song “A tu regreso il casa”. That song meant his breakthrough in Latin America. His song “En bancarotta” was at the number 1 spot in the Hot Latin Track Charts for no less than six weeks. In 1982, he took part in the World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo.
Braulio has also been nominated for a Grammy Award. He also wrote songs for a lot of other artists, among others Alfredo Kraus, José Vélez and Massiel.
