Biography
Bang is a Greek duo. Their career began in 1985, with the release of their first album. The band’s biggest moment was representing Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1987 with the song “Stop”.
During this endeavor, they collaborated with important producers and sound engineers of the time, such as Shep Pettibone (Madonna, George Michael, Elton John etc.), M. Hutchinson (Madonna etc.), Bob Kraushaar (Johnny Hates Jazz, Erasure, Marc Almond etc.), François Kevorkian and others. The music video for “Holding my heart” was shot in Hollywood with famous collaborators, and they also did a music video and a mini-tour in Japan.
From late 1985 until mid-1991, when The Bang also stopped, one of their songs, ‘You’re the one’, entered the UK Top 75 and another, ‘Holding my heart’, entered the US Hot 100.
