Biography
Marko Purišić, who goes by the stage name Baby Lasagna, was born in 1995 and has made his mark as a Croatian vocalist, lyricist, and record producer.
Between 2011-2016 and once again from 2018-2022, Purišić showcased his talents as a guitarist for the Croatian rock ensemble Manntra. While part of Manntra, they made an impressive appearance at Dora 2019, clinching the fourth spot with their track “In the Shadows”. Purišić embarked on a solo venture after his departure from the band in 2022. In 2022, Purišić significantly contributed to co-writing tracks for “Ravenblack”, the twelfth studio album by German rock band Mono Inc. This album hit the number one spot on the German album sales chart, marking a pinnacle achievement for the band. Purišić’s contributions were notable, with several of his songs being selected as singles, such as “Princess of the Night”, “Empire”, “Heartbeat of the Dead”, “Lieb mich”, and “At the End of the Rainbow”.
His initial solo track, “IG Boi,” was unveiled on October 21, 2023, under his alias Baby Lasagna. A couple of months later, in December 2023, he released another single, “Don’t Hate Yourself, But Don’t Love Yourself Too Much”. On February 25, 2024, Baby Lasagna won Dora, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, with a landslide. He re Croatia in the 2024 contest with the selfpenned song “Rim Tim Tagi Dim”. The song quickly became the number 1 at the betting odds. It was also the favourite to win the contest in the Eurovision week itself. Baby Lasagna won the televote and became 2nd overall. After the Eurovision Song Contest, he was welcomed back in Croatia as a hero.
