Biography
Anita is a Norwegian singer-songwriter. Her first appearance on tv was when she participated in the ballet singing game Little Ida’s flowers, which was broadcast on NRK Television in 1968.As her music career expanded, the demand for Anita Skorgan grew also. Before she knew it, she landed multiple appearances on the hit television show “Melodi Grand Prix” seven times between 1976 and 1985. She represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest a total of five times: twice as a solo artist (1977,1779), once as a member of the duo Jahn Teigen & Anita Skorgan (1982) , once as his backing singer in 1983, and also as Finn Kalvik’s backing singer in his 1981 performance. Anita again represented Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest as a co-writer and backing singer in 1988. She received the Spellemannprisen 1979 in the pop class for the album “Ingen vei tilbake” and the Gammleng-prisen in 1991 in the pop class. She has released a number of CDs and written songs for other artists. In 2004, Skorgan joined a group called Queen Bees with Rita Eriksen and Marianne Antonsen. In the spring of 2006, Marianne Antonsen was replaced by Hilde Heltberg.
In connection with her 50th anniversary, she published the book “Anitas Desember”, with her daughter Sara Skorgan Teigen as illustrator November 13, 2008.
