Biography
The 1X Band was a Slovenian band, founded in 1991. They rose to fame when they won the first ever Slovenian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. They represented Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Tih deževen dan”. The groupwas active from 1991 to 1997. During this time, they released two CDs with RTV Slovenia’s ZKP and a single with Jupiter records (Germany). They also performed at Mak-fest in Macedonia in 1993. In 2001, Cole Moretti’s band 1X Orchestra took part in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Kvalifikacija Za Millstreet
The 1993 Slovenian entry was chosen through a selection round called “Kvalifikacija za Millstreet”, which was held the 3rd of april in Ljubljana.
