Benjamin Dolic will represent Germany

Although the official presentation of the German entry for the Eurovision Song Contest will take place tonight at 21:30 CET, the facts are known already: Benjamin Dolic will represent the country. Slovenian born Benjamin Dolic has lived in Switzerland and participated in The Voice of Germany. The song is written by Boris Milanov, who was also responsible for the songs “Beautiful mess” (Bulgaria 2017) and “Nobody but you” (Austria 2018).

Super saturday with semifinals in Ukraine, Estonia, Sweden and Iceland

Tonight is the night four countries will have new semifinals. At 18.00 CET, Ukraine starts. As we experienced last week, probably they will be the last ones to have their results.  You can watch the show here. The contestants will be: Moonzoo feat. F.M.F. Sure, “Maze” Fo Sho, “Blck sqr” Elina Ivaschenko, “Get up” Oleksandr Poriadynsky, “Savior” Garna, “Who we are” Khayat, “Call for love” David Axelrod, “Horizon” Tvorchi, “Bonfire” Khayat took part last year too but didn’t reach the final.  Estonia is the second one with the second Eesti Laul show. Martin Österdahl new executive supervisor

Martin Österdahl will be the new executive supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest and the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. After this year’s contest, he will take over the job from Jon Ola Sand. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced the news today. Martin Österdahl is a television producer. You might know his work, as he produced both the 2013 and 2016 Eurovision Song Contests. Jon Ola Sand was the executive supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest since november 2010, after Svante Stockselius resigned.

First semifinal results in Norway

The first Norwegian semifinal is held. The duels were between Geirmund and Lisa Børud and between Kim Rysstad and Raylee. In both cases, the woman won, so the final battle was between Kim and Raylee. In the end, Raylee won with a song called “Wild”, the most upbeat song of the evening. On social media the song was compared a lot with “Fuego”.

Vincent Bueno sings for Austria

Vincent Bueno will represent Austria in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. He will sing the up-tempo song “Alive”, which will be presented to the audience in march 2020. Vincent is not completely unknown to the Eurovision audience. The Austrian-born Filipino singer took part in the Austrian national final in 2016. One year later, he was one of Nathan Trent’s backing vocals in the contest. Tickets for sale 12 december

Wanna attend the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest? Then you have to be ready at 12 december, 12:00, because that’s when the ticket sale starts. You will pay between €48,50 and €248,50 for a ticket, depending on what you buy: a ticket for a rehearsal or for the grand final. New is that you can buy no more than 4 tickets per person and only with your name. You might be asked to identify. According to event manager Sietse Bakker it is to prevent big companies from buying lots of tickets and sell them for high prize. “Eurovision should not only be for the happy few”, Bakker says.  source: Algemeen Dagblad

Martin Österdahl new executive supervisor

Martin Österdahl will be the new executive supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest and the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. After this year’s contest, he will take over the job from Jon Ola Sand. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced the news today. Martin Österdahl is a television producer. You might know his work, as he produced both the 2013 and 2016 Eurovision Song Contests. Jon Ola Sand was the executive supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest since november 2010, after Svante Stockselius resigned.

First semifinal results in Norway

The first Norwegian semifinal is held. The duels were between Geirmund and Lisa Børud and between Kim Rysstad and Raylee. In both cases, the woman won, so the final battle was between Kim and Raylee. In the end, Raylee won with a song called “Wild”, the most upbeat song of the evening. On social media the song was compared a lot with “Fuego”.

Vincent Bueno sings for Austria

Vincent Bueno will represent Austria in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. He will sing the up-tempo song “Alive”, which will be presented to the audience in march 2020. Vincent is not completely unknown to the Eurovision audience. The Austrian-born Filipino singer took part in the Austrian national final in 2016. One year later, he was one of Nathan Trent’s backing vocals in the contest. Tickets for sale 12 december

Wanna attend the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest? Then you have to be ready at 12 december, 12:00, because that’s when the ticket sale starts. You will pay between €48,50 and €248,50 for a ticket, depending on what you buy: a ticket for a rehearsal or for the grand final. New is that you can buy no more than 4 tickets per person and only with your name. You might be asked to identify. According to event manager Sietse Bakker it is to prevent big companies from buying lots of tickets and sell them for high prize. “Eurovision should not only be for the happy few”, Bakker says.  source: Algemeen Dagblad

Benjamin Dolic will represent Germany

Although the official presentation of the German entry for the Eurovision Song Contest will take place tonight at 21:30 CET, the facts are known already: Benjamin Dolic will represent the country. Slovenian born Benjamin Dolic has lived in Switzerland and participated in The Voice of Germany. The song is written by Boris Milanov, who was also responsible for the songs “Beautiful mess” (Bulgaria 2017) and “Nobody but you” (Austria 2018).
