After three quarter finals and two semifinals, Lithuania will select an entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. The show will be hosted by Gabrielė Martirosianaitė, Giedrius Masalskis and Ieva Zasimauskaitė and will start at 20.00 CET. You can watch it here and here. The contestants are: Aistė Pilvelytė, “Unbreakable” Ruta Loop, “We came from the sun” KaYra, “Alligator” Monika Marija, “If I leave” Meandi, “DRIP” The Roop, “On fire” The Backs, “Fully” Moniqué, “Make me human” For Aistė Pilvelytė it’ll be 11th time lucky. Ruta Loop has some Eurovision experience as she was a backing vocal for Monika Linkytė & Vaidas Baumila in 2015. The Backs are last year’s backing vocals when Jurij Veklenko represented Lithuania.

After five semifinals, Norway will finally decide which song will represent them in Rotterdam 2020. The five winning semifinalists will compete with five songs, chosen by NRK. The final, hosted by Kåre Magnus Bergh, Ingrid Gjessing Linhave and Ronny Brede Aase, starts at 19:50 and can be watched here.  The contestants are:  Raylee, “Wild” Didrik & Emil, “Out of air” Magnus Bokn, “Over the sea” Akuvi, “Som du er” Kristin Husøy, “Pray for me” Rein Alexander, “One last time” Tone Damli, “Hurts sometimes” Sondrey, “Take my time” Ulrikke Brandstorp, “Attention” Liza Vassilieva, “I am gay” Didrik Solli-Tangen represented Norway in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “My heart is yours”. Emil is his brother. Tone Damli ended up in 2nd place behind Alexander Rybak in 2009. Ulrike Brandstorp was present in the 2017 Melodi Grand Prix. From these songs, 4 will be chosen for a second round. Two of them will head to the last round in order to select the Norwegian entry.

There will be 12 songs, 6 of which will go through to the final on 29 february. The contestants are: Rasmus Rändvee, “Young” Kruuv, “Leelo” Stefan, “By my side” INGA, “Right time” Anett Kulbin & Fredi, “Write about me” Revals, “Kirjutan romaani”  Renate, “Videomäng” Laura Põldvere, “Break me” Little Mess, “Without a reason” Egert Milder, “Georgia (On my mind)” Jennifer Cohen, “Ping pong” Synne Valtri & Väliharf, “Majakad” Rasmus Rändvee took part in Eesti Laul before in 2013 with the band Facelift Deer and in 2017 as a solo singer. Roxen represents Romania

Not a surprise, as rumours were going on already a long time: Roxen will represent Romania in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. Yesterday, it was announced that she was on a shortlist together with Diana V and Cezar Guna. Today, it was announced that the young singer who already had several big hits in Romania, will be the contestant. On 21 february she will release 5 songs, one of which will be the Eurovision entry for Romania. The song will be chosen in a national final on 1 march.

Estonia starts with semifinals

Tonight, the first semifinal of Eesti Laul, the Estonian preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest will be held. The show starts at 18.30 CET and you can watch it here. There will be 12 songs, 6 of which will go through to the final on 29 february. The contestants are: Rasmus Rändvee, “Young” Kruuv, “Leelo” Stefan, “By my side” INGA, “Right time” Anett Kulbin & Fredi, “Write about me” Revals, “Kirjutan romaani”  Renate, “Videomäng” Laura Põldvere, “Break me” Little Mess, “Without a reason” Egert Milder, “Georgia (On my mind)” Jennifer Cohen, “Ping pong” Synne Valtri & Väliharf, “Majakad” Rasmus Rändvee took part in Eesti Laul before in 2013 with the band Facelift Deer and in 2017 as a solo singer. Roxen represents Romania

Not a surprise, as rumours were going on already a long time: Roxen will represent Romania in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. Yesterday, it was announced that she was on a shortlist together with Diana V and Cezar Guna. Today, it was announced that the young singer who already had several big hits in Romania, will be the contestant. On 21 february she will release 5 songs, one of which will be the Eurovision entry for Romania. The song will be chosen in a national final on 1 march.
