🇺🇦 Who is going to represent Ukraine?

Ukraine will select their song for Eurovision tonight. Out of 11 songs, a jury and televoters will select a winner. Vidbir, as the name of the contest is, will be hosted by Timur Miroshnychenko, Julia Sanina and Vasyl Baidak. 🇱🇻 Latvia: Supernova starts with semifinal

It’s time for Supernova, the Latvian national final. Tonight, 15 songs will be presented, 10 of which will head to the final next week. The show starts at 20:10 CET and you can watch it here. They also took part in the national finals in 2008 (4th), 2009 (4th), 2010 (4th), 2011 (final, but due to an illnes of Agnese they had to withdraw) and 2012 (9th).Saint Levića participated in 2017 (4th).Avéi was 5th last year.Dons was the runner-up in 2010 and in 2014.Katrīna Gupalo took part in 2018 and remained in the semifinal.Edvards Strazdiņš was involved in the 2020 internet voting.

🇸🇪 Sweden: Melodifestivalen starts!

It is that time of the year: Melodifestivalen, the Swedish national selection, starts. As Sweden is the host country, the winning song will go directly to the final. Two songs will go directly to the final, two other songs will go for ‘final qualification’, something that will be decided after the 5th heat. 🇱🇹 4th heat in Lithuania

Tonight is the night: the 4th episode of the Lithuanian preselection Eurovizija LT will be held. The show will exist of 5 semifinals, each with 8 songs. Two songs will head to the final. Germany Ich Will Zum ESC! is the first part of the German national selection. Under the lead of Conchita Wurst and Rea Garvey, 16 artists competed for a spot in the german national final. Tonight, Benidorm Fest will have its second semifinal. It is the Spanish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Each of the two semifinals will contain eight songs. Four songs each will go to the final on Saturday, 3 February. Tonight’s show will start on 22.50 CET and you can watch it here. The first semifinal of Benidorm Fest took place, and the results are in. Four songs will go through to the final. Today, the gauntlet had been thrown: the decision on who performs in which semifinal has been made. 1st semifinal, 1st half: Ukraine Cyprus Poland Serbia Lithuania Croatia Ireland 1st semifinal, 2nd half: Slovenia Iceland Finland Portugal Luxembourg Australia Azerbaijan Moldova Sweden, United Kingdom and Germany will vote in this semifinal. 2nd semifinal, 1st half: Austria Malta Switzerland Greece Czechia Albania Denmark Armenia 2nd semifinal, 2nd half: Israel Estonia Georgia The Netherlands Norway Latvia San Marino Belgium Spain, Italy and France will vote in this semifinal. Beside the allocation draw it was also the moment when the mayor of Liverpool, Steve Rodham, handed over the key to the Eurovision host city to the mayor of Malmö, Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh.
