Gustaph represents Belgium

Gustaph will represent Belgium with the song “Because of you”, written and composed by Jaouad Alloul and Stef Caers. After an exciting voting, the televoter chose Gustaph as the winner with a landslide, while Gala Dragot was the favourite with the expert jury. It is to be announced in which of the semifinals in Liverpool Belgium will perform. Gustaph, “Because of you”, 278 pts. The Starlings, “Rollercoaster”, 277 pts Gala Dragot, “T’inquiette”, 271 pts. Ulrikke, Unami Tsunami & Alessandra are trough!

Tonight’s first Melodi Grand Prix semi final was won by Ulrikke, Unami Tsunami & Alessandra Mele.  seven songs competed, but only three songs went trough to the final. Ulrikke, winner of Melodi Grand Prix 2020, competed again tonight. She’s expected to win this years season again with her song “Honestly”. Unami Tsunami qualified awell. They competed with a Boyband dance pop song.  However they’re not the only ones that competed with a dance song tonight. Show opener Alessandra Mele won a “finalepass” aswell with her dance song “Queens of Kings”.   Tonight the 2017 winner of MGP competed again with his song “Freaky For The Weekend”. The song was produced by JOWST, and sung by Byron Williams Jr. They didn’t manage to qualify.

Tonight knows the start of Melodi Grand Prix, the Norwegian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Three semifinals will all contain 7 songs. 3 of them will be selected to go to the final, chosen by 100% televoting. The show starts at 19:50 CET and you can watch it here. France: La Zarra goes to Liverpool

La Zarra will represent France in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool. That is what French Television announced today. “She combines the class and style of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, with the sense of tragedy of Edith Piaf, the post-modern intoxication of Lady Gaga, the naked frankness of Barbara, and the fragility of Dalida.”, states the French delegation. La Zarra herself says: “I am very proud to have the chance to perform my song in front of millions of viewers around the world. I am a great admirer of the most beautiful French voices such as Edith Piaf, Barbara, Dalida, but also Céline Dion, and I am so excited to make all Europeans discover my song which I hope will become theirs. I am very honoured to represent France at Eurovision, the most iconic song contest in the world.” On her instagram, the singer says: “D-Day has arrived! I am happy to finally be able to announce that I will wear the colors of France at Eurovision! When I was little my mother rocked me with “L’oiseau et l’enfant” by Marie Myriam… who would have thought that today it was my turn to sing for this mythical competition. Then who is La Zarra? Her real name is Fatima Zahra Hafdi. She is Canadian-Moroccan. She grew up near the city of Longueuil. In 2016, La Zarra rose to fame through an artistic collaboration with Niro on the title “Printemps blanc”. At the NRJ Music Awards 2021, she was nominated for the French-speaking revelation of the year. She scored hits with “Tu t’en iras” (2021) and “Sans moi” (2022). In 2022 she collaborated with Slimane in the song “Les amants de la colline”. It is not yet known when the song will be released.

France: La Zarra goes to Liverpool

La Zarra will represent France in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool. That is what French Television announced today. “She combines the class and style of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, with the sense of tragedy of Edith Piaf, the post-modern intoxication of Lady Gaga, the naked frankness of Barbara, and the fragility of Dalida.”, states the French delegation. La Zarra herself says: “I am very proud to have the chance to perform my song in front of millions of viewers around the world. I am a great admirer of the most beautiful French voices such as Edith Piaf, Barbara, Dalida, but also Céline Dion, and I am so excited to make all Europeans discover my song which I hope will become theirs. I am very honoured to represent France at Eurovision, the most iconic song contest in the world.” On her instagram, the singer says: “D-Day has arrived! I am happy to finally be able to announce that I will wear the colors of France at Eurovision! When I was little my mother rocked me with “L’oiseau et l’enfant” by Marie Myriam… who would have thought that today it was my turn to sing for this mythical competition. Then who is La Zarra? Her real name is Fatima Zahra Hafdi. She is Canadian-Moroccan. She grew up near the city of Longueuil. In 2016, La Zarra rose to fame through an artistic collaboration with Niro on the title “Printemps blanc”. At the NRJ Music Awards 2021, she was nominated for the French-speaking revelation of the year. She scored hits with “Tu t’en iras” (2021) and “Sans moi” (2022). In 2022 she collaborated with Slimane in the song “Les amants de la colline”. It is not yet known when the song will be released.

After an exciting voting, the televoter chose Gustaph as the winner with a landslide, while Gala Dragot was the favourite with the expert jury. Ulrikke, Unami Tsunami & Alessandra are trough!

Tonight’s first Melodi Grand Prix semi final was won by Ulrikke, Unami Tsunami & Alessandra Mele.  seven songs competed, but only three songs went trough to the final. Ulrikke, winner of Melodi Grand Prix 2020, competed again tonight. She’s expected to win this years season again with her song “Honestly”. Unami Tsunami qualified awell.
