Moldova: former ESC participants all qualified

There are 10 qualifiers in Moldova. They have just been anounced on Moldovan television. Note that one of the songs that we mentioned among the auditioners, “Temperatura” sung by Lola, was disqualified. That makes the total of participants 30. In bold letters, the qualifiers. All the former Eurovision participants, Pasha Parfeni, Aliona Moon and Sunstroke Project, qualified. A date for the final is not yet set. Norway: Melodi Grand Prix, semifinal 3

Tonight knows the third and last semifinal of Melodi Grand Prix, the Norwegian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Three semifinals will all contain 7 songs. 3 of them will be selected to go to the final, chosen by 100% televoting. After tonight, we know the full line up of the final! Moldova: live auditions are on the way

Today, you can watch the live auditions of the Moldovan national selection Etapa Națională 2023. 31 songs will compete. There are 10 tickets for the national final, which is to be held at the end of February. The show starts at 13:00 CET and can be seen here. Beside, they took part in the 2015 national selection with Michael Ra (3rd).Surorile Osoianu took part in 2017 together with Ethno Republic. They were the winners together with Sunstroke Project, but televoting decided that Sunstroke Project was the entry.Vera took part in 2015 with Diana Popa (10th), in 2018 (2nd) and in 2019 (3rd).Y-Limit took part in the 2022 auditions.

Lithuania: Pabandom iš naujo 2nd heat

Lithuania continues with their national selections for the Eurovision Song Contest, Pabandom iš naujo. The second heat will be held tonight at 20.00 and can be watched here and on YouTube. Elsie Bay is back! MGP semi final 2 results

the clock strucks 9 P.M. in Norway, and the Melodi Grand Prix results came in. Jone, Elsie Bay, and Swing It are trough to the final in Trondheim! There were some familliar faces in the second semi final, and one of those faces managed to qualify! Elsie Bay isn’t new to the Eurovision family, as she competed in Melodi Grand Prix last year with her song “Death Of Us”. She then reached the second round of the final, but will “Love You In A Dream” take the victory this year? Jone was the second qualifier of the night! His EDM pop song “Ekko Inni Meg” was voted for by a lot of his fans. The staging has a neon kind of vibe, and we expect him to go even bigger in the final. And last but not least we have the fun nostalgic retro band Swing It that we will see again in Trondheim. Their 1920’s inspired party song “Prohibition” made a whole part of Norway swing indeed.

Malta: second quarterfinal MESC 2023

Tonight, Malta heads to the second quarter final of MESC (Malta Eurovision Song Contest). The show starts on 21.00 CET and you can watch it here. Four quarter finals will be held. Out of 13 songs, 8 will be chosen to go to the semifinal. Noa Kirel sings “Unicorn”

The word is out: today, Israeli broadcaster Kaan announced that Noa Kirel will sing the song “Unicorn”. Noa Kirel was, on 11 August 2022, the first contestant to be confirmed for the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool. Noa’s song “Unicorn” is written by Doron Medalie, Yinon Yahel and May Sfadia. Medalie wrote “Golden boy” (2015), “Made of stars” (2016) and the winning song “Toy” (2018) for Israel. He also wrote “Feker libi”, the song for the cancelled contest in 2020. “Toy” and “Feker libi” were co-arranged by Yinon Yahel. The song and the video will be released in March.
