Spain: Benidorm Fest semifinal 2

Tonight is the night: Benidorm Fest will have it’s second and last semifinal. Benidorm Fest is the Spanish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. The show starts at 22.50 and can be seen here. Out of 9 songs, 4 will qualify for the final. The songs are: Alfred García sings “Desde que tú estás” Blanca Paloma sings “Eaea” E’Femme sings “Uff!!” Famous Oberogo sings “La lola” José Otero sings “Inviemos en Marte” Karmento sings “Quiero y duelo” Rakky Ripper sings “Traccíon” Siderland sings “Que esclati tot” Vicco sings “Nonchentera” Alfred García represented Spain in 2018 with the song “Tu cancíon”, in duet with Amaia.Blanca Paloma took part in Benidorm Fest 2022 and became 5th.Famous Oberogo took part in Operacíon Triunfo 2019 and became 7th in the Eurovision final.

The Voice Georgia comes to it’s final

Tonight is the night: The Voice Georgia has it’s final. Why is that interesting for us? Well, the winner gets the ticket to Liverpool, where he or she will represent Georgia. The show starts at 19.00 CET and you can watch it here and on Facebook. After a long series of shows, there are eight finalists: Lika Siradze Tina Datikashvili Anika Tatarashvili Likuna Tutisani Iru Kechanovi Tako Kakalashvili Giorgi Datiashvili Kakha Aslamazashvili Iru Kechanovi took part in the heats of X-Factor Georgia 2019.

It’s Brunette for Armenia

Brunette Rumour already had it, but now AMPTV (Armenian public broadcaster) has confirmed: Brunette will represent Armenia in Liverpool. Armenian television selected the singer internally. Brunette is one of the most famous singers in Armenia. Already when she was 15, she sang titles like “Night”, “Smoke Break” and “Light Blue Eyes”. On YouTube, she gained millions of views for these songs. Sending a young artist AMPTVs Executive Director Hovhannes Movsisyan commented on the selection of Brunette: “Last year, sending a young artist to Eurovision was justified. The song is still successful and captivates millions of fans. I hope this year we will surprise the European audience with a unique Armenian artist.” Selection process Davit Tserunyan, the Head of the Armenian delegation, added: “A few weeks after organising the Junior Eurovision in Yerevan, we started the process of selecting our representative for the contest. At this stage, we are working on the song and the video, which I am sure will be impressive!” Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest Armenia is present in the contest since 2006. Two times (in 2008 with Sirusho and in 2014 with Aram mp3) the country reached a 4th place. Benidorm Fest Semi Final 1 results

It’s been a long night in Benidrom, but the spanish people and jury have voted! Agoney has won tonight’s Semi Final with 161 points! He got the maximal amount of points that you can get from the televote, which is 40. Wil he get the Benidorm trophy this Saturday? Not only Agoney went through, but Alice Wonder, Fusa Nocta & Megara qualified for the final aswell. It’s also notable that fan favorite Aritz Aren barely missed out on the final, with a shortage of 4 points.

Semi Final Allocation Draw

This year the allocation draw for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 has took place in Liverpools’ St. George’s Hall. AJ odudu and well known Rylan hosted this years event. Right before the actual draw happened, the mayor of last year’s host city Turin, Stefano Lo Russo, handed the Eurovision Key over to Joanne Anderson, the mayor of Liverpool. At first the Big Five including: United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, plus last year’s winner Ukraine have been drawn for in which Semi Final the opposing countries will vote in. These are the results: After the big five we’ve had the other 31 participating countries be drawn into two Semi Finals. Semi Final 1 has 15 contenders, while Semi Final 2 has 16. Austria: Teya & Salena will sing in Liverpool

photo: ORF A lot of Eurovision news comes in these days. This morning, radiostation Ö3 announced that Teya and Salena will represent Austria. The song, of which we don’t know the title yet, will be presented the 8th of March, International Women’s Day. Both Teya and Salena have some Eurovision experience. Salena did an attempt in the internal selection in 2019 and Teya in 2020. Under the name of Thea Devy, Teya took part in the 2020 Serbian national selection with the song “Sudnji dan”. Teya in the Serbian final in 2020. Salena in The Voice Germany in 2017. The announcement for the Eurovision Song Contest (in German).

Victor Vernicos to represent Greece

Victor Vernicos announced Victor Vernicos will represent Greece in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. That is what ERT announced today in their main news bulletin. The title of 16-year old Victor’s song is already known too: “What they say”. The full song, written and composed by Victor himself, is not yet published. However, a fragment was already released. Internally chosen Vernicos was internally chosen by a jury, consisting of public and professionals. Out of 106 songs, three were chosen, and now finally “What they say” becomes the entry for the contest in Liverpool. The other finalists were Melissa Mantzoukis with the song “Liar” and rumoured selected duo Antonia Kaouri and Maria Maragkou with “Shout out”. From “Heroes” to “Hope it’s heaven” Victor Vernicos Jørgensen is a 16-year old, half Greek, half Danish singer. He currently has a contract at PANIK Records. Already when he was 4 years old, Victor started to sing. When he was 8 years old, he sang his own version of Måns Zelmerlöw’s “Heroes”. In 2021 he released his first single, “Hope it’s heaven”.

the last Melodi Grand Prix 2023 semi-final has ended

Tonight was the last night for artists to qualify for the Melodi Grand Prix 2023 final in Trondheim. Norway has chosen it’s qualifiers, and here they are: Alte Pettersen is back in the final of Melodi Grand Prix! Last time we saw him was two years ago in 2021. Then he managed to get pre-qualified for the final, but this year he got all the support from the public. Tonight he sung his ballad, that later turns into a pop song called “Masterpiece”. From the start of her music carreer it’s drag queen Skrellex. She’s trough with her pop song “Love Again”. Skrellex burns up the stage as she dances with her four backing dancers. Not only her dance moves, but the disco balls on stage light her up aswell. At last but not least we have Eline Thorp. As she’s an up coming artist in Norway, you can already tell she has a great amount of fans for “Not Meant To Be”! Will it be enough for her to take the trophy next week?
