🇪🇪 Who will sing for Estonia?

The final of Eesti Laul, the Estonian final, will be held tonight. 10 songs will compete: 5 from the semifinal and 5, placed directly in the final. The show will be broadcast at 18:30 CET from the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn. You can watch it here and on YouTube. These are the 10 competing songs: nr. 🇲🇩 Moldova selects their song

Etapa Națională 2024, the Moldovan national final, will be held. After an audition round, 11 songs are left to compete. The show starts at 18.00 CET from TRM Studio 1 in Chișinău. 🇮🇸 Iceland starts with Söngvakeppnin

Iceland starts with Söngvakeppnin tonight. It is, already since 1986, the Icelandic national final. This year, 5 songs compete in each semifinal. Two of them go to the final, along with one wildcard. In the final, the songs can be sung in any language. In the semifinals, they have to be sung in Icelandic. The show starts at 20.45 CET and you can watch it here. Tonight´s contestants are: CeaseTone sings “Ró” Blankiflúr sings “Sjá þig” Anita sings “Stingum af” Sunna Kristinsdóttir sings “Fiðrildi” VÆB sings “Biómynd” None of the artists participated in Söngvakeppnin before.

🇸🇪 Third heat of Melodifestivalen

Melodifestivalen, the Swedish national selection, continues with a third heat. As Sweden is the host country, the winning song will go directly to the final. Two songs will go directly to the final, two other songs will go for ‘final qualification’, something that will be decided after the 5th heat. The show starts at 20:00 CET and you can watch it here or on the SVT Play app. These are the competing songs: Jacqline sings “Effortless” Clara Klingenström sings “Aldrig mer” Kim Cesarion sings “Take my breath away” Klaudy sings “För dig” Gunilla Persson sings “I won’t shake (La La Gunilla)” Cazzi Opeia sings “Give my heart a break” Clara Klingenström was 5th in 2021.Cazzi Opeia was 9th in 2022.

🇩🇪 Isaak represents Germany in Malmö

Isaak won Das Deutsche Finale, the German preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. He will sing the song “Always on the run”, written and composed by Greg Taro, Isaak Guderian, Kevin Lehr and Leo Salminen. That is what the German audience and an international expert jury decided. Both agreed on Isaak’s victory. The full result of the contest is this: Isaak, “Always on the run”, 24 pts. Max Mutzke, “Forever strong”, 20 pts. Ryk, “Oh boy”, 13 pts. 🇩🇪 Germany selects a song tonight

Tonight is the night of Das Deutsche Finale, the German final for the Eurovision Song Contest. Nine songs will compete from Studio Berlin Adlershof. The show will be hosted by Barbara Schöneberger. An international jury and televoters will select a song on a 50/50 base. The show starts at 22:05 CET. You can watch it here and here. 🇮🇹 Italy: Angelina Mango confirmed for Eurovision

After winning San Remo, Angelina Mango confirmed that she will represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest. She did that in the winners press conference after the contest. It is the procedure: the winner of the Festival di Sanremo gets the first choice to represent Italy. He or she can however chose not to. This is the rule since 2015. Only in 2016, when Stadio won Sanremo, they chose not to go to Eurovision. Francesca Michielin, who reached a 2nd place, went to the contest in Stockholm instead. Angelina Mango will (likely) sing “La noia”, a song she co-wrote with Dario Faini and Francesca Calearo.

Angelina Mango wins Sanremo 2024

After a full week of artists competing in Sanremo we finally have our winner! Angelina Mango has won the compitition with “La Noia”. It was a tough battle as big artists like Geolier and Annalisa took part. Not only them, but also past Sanremo winners as Mahmood, Il Volo & Diodato. The last clash was between Geolier & Angelina as they switched places all week in the betting odds. However Angelina Mango won, and is likely to represent Italy in Malmö with “La Noia”. It is not 100% sure, as it’s not obliged that the winner of Sanremo has to go to Eurovision.

🇱🇻 Dons for Latvia in Malmö

Dons wins! It’s gonna be Dons for Latvia. will sing the song “Hollow”, which is written by Artūrs Šingirejs, Kate Northrop and Liam Geddes. Dons will perform in the second half of the second semifinal. 🇫🇮 Window95man wins UMK 2024

Windows95man will be Käärijä’s follow up with “No Rules”! The duo will represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest. They lost the jury votes, however with a big peak in points they won the televote with 313 points in total. They will perform in the second semi final in Malmö.
