🇧🇪 Belgium: Mustii sings “Before the party’s over”

photo: RTBf This morning, the Belgian entry “Before the party’s over” has been presented. The song will be sung by Mustii. Belgium will perform in the 2nd half of the 2nd semifinal. The lyrics are written by Mustii himself along with Arianna Damato, Charlotte Clark, Nina Sampermans. The latter is a familiar name in Eurovision: she wrote “Would you” for Iris (Belgium 2012), “Tout l’univers” for Gjon’s Tears (Switzerland 2021) and “Bridges” for Alika (Estonia 2023). The song is composed by Mustii, Pierre Dumoulin and Benoit Leclerq. Dumoulin was responsible for two Belgian entries: “City lights” in 2017 and “Wake up” in 2019. Due to a mistake, made by RTBf’s radio station for youngsters, TIPIK, the song was leaked already. Sunday evening, the radio station already played the song. The result was that almost everywhere on the internet, “Before the party’s over” could be found. However, below you’ll find the official video as published by EBU.

🇵🇱 Luna represents Poland

Luna will represent Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with the song ‘The Tower’. That is what Polish broadcaster TVP announced today. Luna, a prodigious singer and multifaceted artist, has been an integral part of the music scene since her formative years. From enchanting audiences with her mesmerizing performances in folk bands to gracing the grand stages of the Grand Theatre-National Opera in Warsaw, Luna’s musical journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. At 24, she is not only a student at the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Artes Liberales but also a virtuoso violinist and pianist, a prolific songwriter in both English and Polish, and a skilled composer. While Luna finds her muse in art, philosophy, and fashion, her fascination with astrology and her deep connection with nature serve as guiding forces in her life. As the inaugural Polish Ambassador of the Spotify Equal initiative, Luna garnered international acclaim, with her image adorning the iconic Times Square in New York. Her meteoric rise continued with a nomination for ‘Discovery of the Year’ at the prestigious Polish ‘Bestsellery EMPIKu’ Awards in 2022. The release of her debut album “Nocne Zmory” (‘Nightmares’) in 2022 marked a significant milestone in Luna’s career, celebrated with a sold-out promotional concert at Warsaw’s esteemed Niebo club. Venturing beyond borders, Luna embarked on collaborations with UK and Swedish producers, showcasing her versatility and international appeal. Her collaboration with DJ Miss Monique on the track “Subterranean” garnered millions of streams, while her contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “The Tower,” crafted alongside Fyfe and Max Cooke in the UK, further solidified her status as a rising star on the global stage.

🇱🇹 Silvester Belt wins in Lithuania

Eurovizija.LT has, after 5 heats and a final, been whon by Silvester Belt. He will sing for Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. Their song is called “Luktelk” and is written and composed by Džesika Šyvokaitė, Elena Jurgaitytė and Silvester himself. Lithuania will perform in the first half of the first semifinal. 🇮🇸 Væb & Anita are qualified for the Söngvakeppnin final!

The first night of Söngvakeppnin is over and Anita & Væb have qulified themselves for the big final in march! Væb closed the night with their song: “Bíómynd”, and in the middle was Anita with “Stingum af”. She is one of the favorites to win the whole show and go to Eurovision for Iceland

🇩🇰 Saba Danish contestant for Malmö

Denmark selected their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö and its Saba with the song “Sand”. The song is written and composed by Jonas Thander, Melanie Wehbe and Pil Kalinka Nygaard Jeppesen. Denmark will perform in the first half of the second semifinal. 🇪🇪 5miinust & Puuluup have won Eesti Laul 2024!

The bands both formed with eachother especially for their Eurovision entry. Their song won the superfinal with the help of the televoters! They will represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest in malmö with ” “(nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi”. They will compete in the second semi final on may 9th.

🇸🇪 Jacqline & Cazzi Opeia dirctly to Melodifestivalen final!

Tonight Sweden has had it’s third Melodifestivalen heat! The results are in, and Jacqline won the first round of votes, and Cazzi Opeia is the winner of the second round. Klaudy & Gunilla Persson are trough to the last chance round, and will get the chance to go to the final one last time.

🇲🇩 It’s Natalia Barbu for Moldova!

It’s Natalia Barbu for Moldova. won the national selection Etapa Națională. Out of 11 songs, “In the middle” was chosen to represent Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the favourite of the jury. Televoters selected Valeria Pasha, but the vote of the jury counted more. The song is written by Khris Richards and Natalia herself and composed by Natalia. The final of Eurovizija.LT will be held tonight as well. Ten songs were chosen out of the semifinals, and they will compete in the final tonight. Denmark will select their song tonight as well. Out of eight songs, a jury (50%) and the televoter (50%), will select the winner.
