7-win record holder Ireland has a new representative. The country chose Brooke Scullion to do the job with the song “That’s rich”. There was a tie with Viktor Apostolovski, but as Andrea was the favourite of the international jury she is the one to head to Turin. North Macedonia will perform in the second half of the second semifinal in Turin. Tonight, in a competition called Za Evrosong 2022, North Macedonia will make a choice for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy. The show starts at 20.15 and you can watch it here. Out of six songs, online voters and an expert jury will select the winner. Tonight, the festival of San Remo continues. The winner of the contest can be the Italian representant in the Eurovision Song Contest. That means, if he, she or they want it. All the participants had to inform Italian television (RAI) already about their wish to participate…. or not. The show starts at 20.40 CET and you can watch it here. During the fourth evening, dedicated to covers, the 25 artists will perform a song of their choice, both Italian and international, published between the sixties, seventies, eighties and nineties. The performances will be voted on by the Demoscopica 1000 (33%), by the Jury in the press room (33%) and by the public at home via televoting (34%). In these performances, the artists will have the opportunity to decide whether to perform alone or be accompanied by Italian or foreign guests. At the end of the voting, a provisional ranking of the 25 artists in the competition will be drawn up, which will be added to that of the previous evenings.

X-Factor Israel is the Israeli national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. So far, four finalists are left in the competition. It was already rumoured before, but now it is sure. During the festival of Sanremo 2022, the hosts of the upcoming Eurovision song contest are announced. Laura Pausini, Alessandro Cattelan and Mika will host the show. Laura Pausini won the festival of Sanremo in 1993. It was the start of a brilliant carreer; her winning Sanremo song “La solitudine” became a worldwide hit, followed by songs like “Strani amori” (3rd in Sanremo 1994), “Gente”, “Incancellabile” and “Fantastico (fai quello que sei)”. source: wikimedia commons  Alessandro Cattelan is a famous Italian tv-show host and actor. He hosted the Italian version of “Total request live” and X-Factor Italia. Mika, born as Michael Holbrooke Penniman jr., is a Lebanese-born British singer.
