Amanda Georgiadis Tenfjord for Greece 2022!

The 24 year old Greek singer/ songwriter Amanda Tenfjord will represent Greece in Turin! However she won’t represent the country she was born in, as she was originally born in a little town in Norway called Tenfjord, but is half Greek. She usually sings her songs in English. The Norwegian-Greek singer has released a few singles and an EP earlier this year, together with her best song “Then I Fell In Love”. ERT choose her internally after six juries made the desicion to choose Amanda, and dropped these other four finalists.   (Photo credits: ERT) Her musical journey began way back when she was only 16. At that age Amanda learned how to play piano, took singing lessons and started writing her own songs. And this is of course not the end of her career, as we will follow her all the way to Turin!   (Photo credits: Jonathan Visaas Kise)

Eurovision Song Celebration without Ireland & the UK?

Almost all of the countries were able to travel to Rotterdam, except for Australia which Live-on-Tape performance we were able to see in the First Semi-Final. But what happens with all the Live-on-tape performances? Well we will be able to see those during this years Eurovision Song Celebration!   We will see almost all of the back-up performances, The BBC and RTE have decided not to give their back-up tapes to the public. We don’t really know why but our guess is because of the disappointing results the two countries had in this years Eurovision.   Lesley Roy had this to say to the people that asked her why she won’t publish her Live-on-Tape to the public.

Gjon’s Tears: working on songs!

Gjon, one of the favorites from this year’s Eurovision, was having a zoomcall with us tonight. In the call Gjon said he was working on some songs and he had some ideas wich genre the songs would be. Unfortunately we don’t know how the songs will sound so we have to wait ’till next year. Gjon expressed that it’s not going to be easy, because he’s nervous about how people will react to it: “There is a lot of music in this world, not all songs will be different from one another. Look at Eurovision for example. Victoria was one of the fan favorites but also a lot of people say that shes a Billie Eillish 2.0. Or in the 1970s everybody made blues music and it all sounded the same. I just hope people won’t get such a feeling with my song this year“. Gjon was also wondering why Lithuania and Iceland were such fan favorites. We explained him: “They’re just trying to have fun. Their songs are fun, have a lot of quirkinesses and dances added to it and that grabs attention. Those songs are also radio-friendly so if you heard this on the radio you couldn’t tell it’s a Eurovision Song or not. But meanwhile with “Repondez-moi” people can relate to the song and that’s how each song stands out, the one more than the other“. Gjon expressed his wish to meet us next year. Only time will tell.  “Répondez-moi”, the song Gjon’s Tears would have sung in the 2020 contest:
