Azerbaijan: TuralTuranX goes to Liverpool

photo: Eurovision.tv There was news about Azerbaijan today. We know now that the duo TuralTuranX will represent this country. That is what Ictimai, the Azerbaijani broadcaster, announced today.  TuralTuranX was one of five shortlisted artists/groups for the job. The duo consists of the 22 year old twins Tural and Turan. They are street performers from Zaqatala in the north of Azerbaijan. The brothers will perform in the 2nd half of the 1st semifinal. The song is not yet published. It’s Mae Muller for the United Kingdom

Mae Muller will represent hostcountry United Kingdom in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. That was reveiled this morning in Zoe Ball’s BBC 2 Breakfast Show.As the United Kingdom is one of the Big Five ánd the host country, the song “I wrote a song” will be placed directly in the final.  The song is written by Mae herself in cooperation with Lewis Thompson and Karen Poole.
